Logging out of ORKUT and.......

It seems that every time I logout of Orkut, the system also logs me out of GMAIL
Is this correct or an issue that is being worked on ?

Yes,Joe even I have the same trouble.But I dont think its an issue google uses a single username for providing all its services . This helps as you dont have to login to use multiple services(gmail,reader,blogger,analytics etc..)the logout works in the same manner i.e if u log out of gmail you'll be logged out of other services.what you can do is configure a different mail acc for logging into orkut (yahoo or other mail services) . The other thing u can do is not to log out of orkut ;)just close the tab work on ur gmail and once ur done with gmail logout this will also log u out of other services(including orkut).

I think that you should get the gmail button for your toolbar.. that way if your logged out of orkut.. I think your tool bar will keep you logged into the gmail.

you can also use google chat client to keep you logged ...

I tried Orkut, and found it to be out of date, non-attendant moderators, full of spam... I was most disappointed.
