Sponsor | jamiet | Jan 4, 2:57pm | If I recall correctly, doesn't the add-on Customize Google do it too?
I have the https for gmail bookmarked. |

Sponsor | chimichurri | Jan 4, 3:13pm | | Question: If I wanted to have my gmail open while consulting another page, would it be safe to open it in one window and then open another page in another window (as opposed to another tab)? |

6) Shouldn't make any difference as far as security is concerned |

Sponsor | chimichurri | Jan 4, 4:13pm | Orun: I'm not sure I follow what you meant... is it safe or not to open other pages in other windows? Do you know?
-----------
edit: On reading this page closer, it says: "The victim visits a page while being logged into GMail."
So I suppose it is unsafe to open anything at the same time.
Well, that sucks :( |

but it doesn't matter how many tabs you have open, really =) |

To partially explain it, open many firefox windows and bring up the task manager (Ctrl-alt-del) and they will appear as a single process. (There is a no-remote command line switch to bypass this, if one is interested in doing so-- it will help work with multiple profiles at the same time. Also you can use the new Prism from Mozilla to read web mails in a separate window. Though there may be other untested issues with that :~) )
